Mining Overview¶
Soqucoin uses Scrypt Proof-of-Work, the same algorithm as Dogecoin and Litecoin. If you already mine DOGE or LTC, your hardware works with SOQ out of the box.

Emission by epoch¶
The block reward by height:

The first four epochs
The first four epochs, about 1.9 years, emit the head supply of about 46.875 billion SOQ. The reward per block falls at each epoch boundary and difficulty follows hashrate; coins per hash depend on both.
Merge Mining (AuxPoW)¶
Mine SOQ simultaneously with Litecoin and Dogecoin. The same proof of work is submitted to all three chains, so no additional hashing is spent. AuxPoW is active from genesis.

Mining Methods¶
SOQ is mined at SOQUPOOL and at other pools that merge-mine it. Solo mining with the repository's stratum proxy is for stagenet and development.
Join SOQUPOOL for regular payouts. Pool mining combines your hashrate with other miners and splits rewards proportionally. You earn LTC, DOGE, and SOQ from a single connection.
