Mining Overview¶
Soqucoin uses Scrypt Proof-of-Work, the same algorithm as Dogecoin and Litecoin. If you already mine DOGE or LTC, your hardware works with SOQ out of the box.
Why Mine Soqucoin?¶
Early Emission Window¶
Block rewards start extremely high and halve over time:

Early Miners Win Big
The first ~1.9 years (4 epochs of ~174 days each) produce the entire ~46.875B head supply. Mining during this window, even with older hardware, yields significantly more coins per hash than mining later when difficulty increases and rewards halve.
Merge Mining (AuxPoW)¶

Mining Methods¶
